UPDATE: Boat hits and kills man on Chickamauga Lake

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -
UPDATE: TWRA officials said a man has died after being hit by the propeller of a ski boat on Chickamauga Lake on Sunday.
Hamilton County dispatchers told Channel 3 it happened around 6:15 p.m. near Harrison Bay Road.
Investigators with the TWRA said the 48-year-old man was in a boat with three other people. He got out of the boat to wakeboard when the TWRA said he got hit by the propeller.
Officials are contacting the man's family before releasing his identity.
The TWRA said it's unclear if alcohol was involved or if charges will be filed.

That's terrible. There was something going on inside HBSP Saturday evening. There were police and other emergency vehicles over by the picnic area but we never heard any news.

The man used to work with me a few years ago. There were a lot of shocked and sad people at work today. He was a good guy and a family man. It sounds like it was just a terrible accident. Prayers to his family.
