Can two individuals from adjacent states (tn and ga) just meet at an ffl dealer to make the transfer of a pistol face to face?

Sounds logical... But I have been wrong before :) I would just call a local TN FFL dealer and ask them.

It doesnt matter on a long gun (rifle or shotgun). If its a handgun we're talking about then you are correct. It seems like a dealer from your state has to transfer the firearm to a dealer in the customer's state so he or she can purchase the firearm legally. Sounds like a big hassle but its the law and they made it for a reason.
