Had a good turn out and the weather could not have been any nicer. I cannot remember the last time it was chilly going across the water in July. That was nice. This cold front seemed to have shut the fish down some for many but as always when you get that many good anglers together in a tournament someone is going to find them. We did have more people blank on this one then weigh in but it was a good time to fish. Here are the top ten who weighed in their fish today. We paid four places, one big bass and one trash fish.(three fish weigh in.) I paid out a total of $1,415.00 today in cash. Not bad for a five hour tournament.

1st- Allen O. and Bobby O. with 14.68 lbs, they also had big bass of the tournament with a nice one at 6.54 lbs. Won- $480 for 1st + $165 for big bass and a Denali Rod worth $198.00 retail. emoApplause

2nd- Shane Frazier and Chris Bradley with 12.65 lbs. Won- $$345.00

3rd- Jason Cook and Wes Hardin with 12.03 lbs. Won- $215.00

4th- Mark Eustice and Ray Blaylock with 11.74 lbs. Won- $85.00

Trash fish pot went to the team of Tim Kennedy and Chrissy Kennedy with a huge fish....ah......a bream, at a whopping .48 of a lb. emoGoofy emoLaugh Won- $125.00!!!!

Rounding out the top ten....

5th- and first out of the money was Me(Jmax) and Mr. Whiskers with 10.33 lbs.
6th- Eddie Wilson with 9.95 lbs.
7th- Troy and his son Levi with 9.54 lbs.
8th- Tim and Chrissy Kennedy with 7.79 lbs.
9th- Charlie Myers (hook1) with 7.66 lbs.
10th- Bob Anthony and Steve Rogers with 7.34 lbs.

I'd like to thank Linda and Don Morgan who owns Action Alarms for sponsoring this event and supporting the local anglers in our area. emoThanks Please support Action Alarms if you need any alarm or camera business. Give me a call at 423-298-4348. C-ya on the water. emoAngler Jmax

The rod was also bought for by Action Alarms but I went through Derek81 who is a Denoli field rep for them this year and I got it at a really good price. Action Alarms will also be donating two more of the same rods to the Cancer Tournament coming up on Aug. 2nd. emoThumbsup Jmax

Jim thanks for putting it on for us all to fish. Payouts on a $30 tournament don't get any better than that. I was shocked when we got $345 for 2nd!

Great tx we had trolling motor problems and had to leave early,
maybe next time Congrats to the winners!

Thanks Shane, when you add the percent of 40%, 30%, 20% and 10%, then add the $150, $100, and $50 that Action threw in the dollars are high for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Then the really funniest part of the whole tournament to me had to be the bream at .48 of a lb. getting $125.00. I think that is a new record for me. I have been fishing tournaments since I was in High School, until yesterday the smallest fish I can remember paying out money to was a .71 spot in Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas. It was a very poor tournament and the guy in third had one little 12 inch spot and got a check.

New record right there, a freak'in bream less then half a pound got a check. emoLaugh That is funny. emoLaugh Jmax

I'm kicking myself for not taking your hint on the crappie bait now Jim! lol Dad gum it!

Yep, someone who had shown up with a crappie rod could have paid 35 to enter and left with 125. emoAngel

Thanks jmax and action alarms for a great tx . We had great weather though a little chilly but who's complaining . I thoroughly enjoyed fishing with y'all , I had 7.02 I think , all caught shallow on straight worms had a 2 lb striper but didn't get in the trash fish pot , oh well congrats to the winner with the giant bluegill lol , hope to fish again with y'all
