The news is focusing on the water and wind in just a couple of states. West Virginia is getting socked with snow that has the state at a stand-still. My home page news said higher elevations had as much as two feet of snow. Some roofs collapsed from the weight of the snow.
I lived in Queens for three years. Knowing the city as I remember, there will be a mess getting cleaned up and getting back into the routine. I wonder how the floods will affect the subway system. Water and wiring don't go together- now or later with the possibility of corrosion.
Interesting note- when NYC had a total power outage many, many years ago, there was a sharp rise in the birth rate nine months later. emoBigsmile

I have a buddy who lives in the mountains of northern Virgina and he had planned to come down this coming up weekend and fish with me here on the chick. I talked with him yesterday and he is snowed in with sleet and snow. emoEek I started talking about what we would do if he could not make it and he said, "Wait a minute, who said anything about not making it, I am coming hell or high water, I WILL be there!!!!!" emoBigsmile Have you ever noticed that people who hunt and fish if they get that addiction urge your not going to stop them from going no matter what. emoCrazy Jmax
