Me and RangerRob went out after the Yardsale in is new boat . Man thats a sweet ride ! Anyway we put in at Grasshopper and headed down river and started fishing main river pockets . The water temp. was 53 and the wind was blowning pretty bad . We picked up a couple of small ones on cranksbaits before we decided to try to find some calmed water . Headed to the back of Sale Creek and fished the back of the pockets . Water temp. was 56 here. First one came on a chartruese and white spinnerbait that was in the 3.5 to 4 lb. range . Then we hit a little spot that produced several bass including another keeper , all on rattetraps in a shad color in about 5 feet of water . Moved to a rocky bank and caught 2 on shakyheads before the wind blew us off the lake . Ended with about 14 bass with 2 being keepers . By the way Ranger Rob caught a drum on a rattletrap . Never seen that before ! Thanks for the fishing trip Rob ! I had a blast !

Glad to hear you and Rob did well. That is one nice boat he has there, but I am surprised it will float with the lures he has aboard! Dang I thought I was bad! There has to be some help out there somewhere for this! Good work guys!

Hey FF - why for do you think I proposed the CFF Yard Sale? The Ranger needed to "loose some weight!!"

The funniest part of the day was that twice, Tr19 decided to "test" a couple of his new balsa beauties. Two-first casts, two bass ... I'd say they work just fine! But then I must confess that the first cast I ever made w/ one of Tr19's crankbaits resulted in a bass hanging from each treble. "Testing" Tr19's crankbaits is always a hoot ... and - as Bill Dance would say - mighty productive.

It was a good day, but blustery. Every time we made a move to dodge the wind, it came looking for us. TT made sure we were feed well before leaving the Yard Sale ... many, many thanks TT.

His crankbaits are works of art RR! I have got to get some ordered. Mike was showing his off in Huddle House like it was a crown jewel or something! Made me kinda jealous if the truth be known. You know how that goes; can't have one fishing partner with more stuff than the other! Seriously I've got to stop, BUT not before I pick up some of those cranks!emoEvil

I like to see dudes like you guys hang tough and fight the weather and bust out some nice fish.Alot of people dont think fishing is a tuff sport, but those same people couldnt hang on a day when it cold and windy. Those people would give up.

Don't kid yourself HarrisBasser. It's not that Tr19 and I are tough ... it's just that we don't have a life! emoLaugh

We were running low on daylight and my hands had had all of the cool wind that they could take when I told Tr19, "screw this." I had the Minn Kota on high and still couldn't keep us on that last spot any longer ... and our Spotstickers were getting thumped. emoAngry
