If you are in the market for a good rod at a reasonable price you should check these out. I have 4 of them in various configurations , flipping, carolina rig, crankbait, and spinning. They are very good quality and have a super cork and Hypalon foam handle that is by far the most comfortable handle I have ever used. They are very light weight and telegraph strikes and cover perfectly. I don't think you would be disappointed and they are some of the best rods you can get for under $150.

Davo ,I saw one of those rods and it wasa two piece. It actually came apart near the handle.Whats up with that?

I haven't seen the 2 piece rod, but then again I'm not a fan of them. I like one piece only, even for flipping sticks, don't want the retractable butt. Or was it broken at the handle?

If you ever see me out, dark blue Stratos 17 Vindicator with a silver Johnson 150, come over and ask to check one out. They feel great and the action is second to none.

I was at a HENRYS tackle show in January and I saw one and the guy that was workin the booth said that it was made that way.I love the handle on them ,very comfortable.

I have an 8 foot 457 Co-Matrix, medium action. I definitely like the feel of it and the handle configuration, although I could imagine a couple of changes to it, myself. I bought it to throw deep cranks, but it doesn't have quite enough power for anything over 1/2 ounce. The length makes it unweildy. However, it's an excellent rod for casting large live baits for catfish! The tip is flexible enough to not cast the bait off.

The multi-piece rods come apart below the reel, not above it, so it shouldn't affect sensitivity much.

Generally, I like mine, and I like the hypalon/cork grip, although I wish the reel seat was smaller diameter (impossible due to large blank diameter). It's not like other rods, that's for certain! I have to confess, though, that after having built a couple of rods, I've really wondered about the possibility of strippin the guides off it and replacing them with Alconites in small diameters to reduce weight (it has larger diameter Hardloys). I may do it one day...
