When you turn the key on an alarm will sound. Sometimes it will go off right away and sometimes it will sound for two or three minutes. Without the motor running or with the motor running. It is full of oil. Does anyone have an idea of what could be going on.

Several reasons the alarm can go off. Level switch in boat, oil injection module on fuel pump, vacuume switch on fuel, overheat or a short in the engine harness or boat harness. I have even seen a bad ground cause it from backfeeding. IF it sounds for 3 minutes, that is not normal. You will have to duplicate it and start unplugging each one of the "possibilities" and see which one causes the issue to go away and start from there to determine exactly what is going on. Has the engine been ran when this happens????

hey james i have unhooked all the things you gtold me and the alarm still sounds for a long time did not check for a ground wire be cause i dont have the knowledge of electricity to know what i am doing but my son is an electricican so he mightthanks for all your help emoThanks emoUSA emoThanks

You did unhook the oil tank wiring right?? It will look almost like a lamp cord. One wire will go to ground and the other will plug into the harness. It comes in with the main harness in the front of the cowl.
