I recently changed my garbage service to Syntek, mainly because it is related to one of our members. Allied has been charging me $65 for 3 months plus a $15 Fuel Charge for a total of $80. I changed to Syntek for significantly less and called to cancel the incumbent Allied whom I have had ever since I moved back to GA.

The first thing Allied did when I called to cancel was ask my why.......I said less expensive........so they immediately told me they could reduce my service to $45 for 3 months. My first response was....plus a $15 Fuel Charge? And the answer was no, $45 total.

Boy did that piss me off! So I asked why had they been gouging me for three years at $80 when they were willing to do it for $45!!!!!?????? What kinda business is that? Charge what you need to be competitive but don't try to make your total living off your best customers. They could have called after a couple years and said they were going to lower the cost of my service for being a good customer and I may have been with them for lifetime; don't wait until I threaten to cancel and tell me you can do the same job for practically half!
If you have Allied Waste service and want you bill cut in half, just call and threaten to cancel!

Then again, why not go with a company owned by fishermen that charge a regular descent charge instead of getting all they can? I will vote Syntek every time my friends.

Rant over.....................

I pay Republic $130/mo for a 4 yd dumpster in Whitwell, TN. I'll be glad when they get some competition.

Yes Allied waste is horrible wouldn't use them they tried to charge me for a recycle can fit months to which I never had one

You wouldn't call me after we agreed to a price on a fishfinder to tell me your supplier reduced the cost and you are passing the savings on to me would you?

Forget the competition, AW/BFI will just buy them out when they get enough customers, been doing it for decades. Call to cancel and you will get a better deal. It's a game and the better you play it, the better your deal. They make a living dealing with garbage, get mad or act that way, to get rates reduced. Comcast is about the same way

That is way to much, I have a dumpster in whitwell by same conpany and I pay $80. (address 134/138 east montana ave it is two apartments) and I pay $100 for a larger dumper at 1710 teague road. Call them up and they will go down on the price. AND I PAY NO FUEL CHARGES

Yes, Craig, actually I do lower the price if I get it at a lower price, done that many times as well as lowering the cost by price matching the best I can if someone finds a better price than we agreed upon.
ONLY way to do business!

They picked my can up and discontinued my service. They said I did nut pay my bill!!!! Duh, it had been coming out of my checking account for years. emoBang I changed. Got a better deal.
