Just seen Alton won the classic today. Some of you might remember 2 years ago I posted after the Elite tx. on guntersville That I got to fish with Alton on the last day of that Tx. I have got to fish 3 of the Elite Tx. And everyone i`ve fished with has been nice, But Alton Jones Is exactly like what you see on tv. He was a great teacher that day on the water and took time to explain why he was doing the things he was doing. I was even more impressed with his commitment to his family and his religon. Even though he was the most intensly focused guy i`ve ever been in a boat with, Listening to alot of his conversations throughout the day the was no doubt fishing was 3rd on his list of priorities behind God and his Family. Another thing he did that was differnt from the others was after weigh-in I went to give him $40 dollars for gas and he told me he did`nt want if I would donate it to a charity or someone that could really use it he would appreciate that more than gas money. That pretty much sums up what kind of man Alton Jones is. In case ya`ll have`nt figured out I`m glad to see a really good guy win the classic. emoApplause

Of all the anglers that have won the Classic, I have to say that this one is one of the best tournaments I have seen and to see Alton win the big one, after so many years of fishing, it's a great feeling. He seems like the kind of guy that is more than willing to share what he knows and doesn't think too highly of himself. He's just another guy out there doing his thing. Congrats to Alton!

Alton Jones is a class act who walks the walk and talks the talk. Congratulations to Alton on a great victory!!!

AJ really is a great person and angler. Glad He got the big win. Those old vets can still hang in there !emoThumbsup emoThumbsup

Attended one of the two day B.A.S.S. seminars a few years back. Alton Jones held a morning church service for an hour before the Sunday session began. I'm very gald to see him win.

That is just neat that he told you to donate that 40 bucks to a charity or someone that needs it he is now my favorite angler. Thanks for the infoemoSmile
