Looks like this story has kinda gone under the radar this year. I just wanted to give a shout out where it's deserved. John Cox did something that is truly unheard of this year in professional bassfishing. He fished the FLW Tourout ofa 19ft aluminum boatthat was Not equipped with a transducer. Fishing out of an aluminum boat already has its disadvantages in the speed department, but not having a transducer isa pretty tough deal when you have to fish 5 different lakes and make money at the same time. I can rememberback in2013whenJohn barely had enough money to keep fishing as a pro and it basically came down to how he finished in the FLW Cup if he was going to be fishing pro the next year. </p>

Coxended up only 14 points behind Scott Martin this yearwho won his first ever AOY. Now that's what I'm talking about. That guy can straight up catch some bass! </p>
