Ambassadeur 4600 CA

Hope this is in the right forum. I want to upgrade the bearings in my Ambassadeur 4600CA. I found a guy in Canada who does this work. I understand that the drag and level wind can also be upgraded. Problem is I was quoted around $100 for this total upgrade. The Ambassadeur is in excellent condition( in fact almost new) as is. I just wanted to improve its performance a bit so that I could use it for some deep cranking and the extra casting distance I need to do this. Doesn't seem quite worth to me to spend $100 on a 30 year old reel but the reel does have great sentimental value. What do some of you folks think? Is there someone in the Chattanooga area that does this type of work that you folks could recommend ?

Check these folks out. They are the best that has ever been on an Ambassadeur reel. The are USA folks too. They can do anything from a simple clean and lube to installing high performance components.

$100 seems high. The Abu's are easy to work on so I'd look into a DIY job if it were me.
