I have read the book and seen the movie. The movie is a little over 2 hours long. The whole time during the movie. You didn't hear any cellphones going off or hardly anyone talking. To me it was a very good movie! And thinking about going to see it again.

Did you like the book better or the movie?

I can echo the same feeling on the silence in the movie theater. As the movie concluded and the actual funeral footage was being played we heard sniffling in the audience,THAT"S IT. Once the movie finished everyone stood and exited as if we were just dismissed from church or leaving an actual funeral service ourselves. I was taken back by this, I don't think anyone spoke until well outside, almost to the exit. Very solemn moment.

I agree that the movie was great but to me the constant flow of profanity took away from the movie. Chris was definitely a real hero and our country owes him and so many other veterans a great debt.

I was also impressed by the reverence shown throughout the film, and especially while leaving the theatre. You could have heard a pin drop! I'm very proud of our military, and apprecite the sacrifices they and their families make to preserve our nation and our freedoms. Make no mistake; if we allow it, there are those who would dsetroy our nation and way of life.

Great movie! We saw it in IMax on Friday Night. I read the book a few years ago, and was happy to see what I think was an accurate portrayal of Kyle. I also agree that when it was over, you could have heard a pin drop in the theater.
