I launched at 10:00 this AM and scouted a couple of places to try to locate some more places that the Crappie are using right now. I picked up the teacher at 12:00 at HBSP and we fished together until 2:45. I had already caught 12 by the time that I picked him up and after our 2+ hours of fishing, we caught 42 total. Only 15 were keepers though. There is a world of 9" crappie in the lake right now. Looks good for the next couple of years.

Fished a dock again. Due to the cold front conditions that we were faced with, the Crappie had gone a little deeper than last Tuesday. We had to count down to 12 and fish really slow to induce a bite. I caught several just dead sticking the little bass assassin. Several colors produced fish as long as it had a little hint of chartreuse on it somewhere.

The wind was cold, and from the wnw, but not blowing too hard. The bass guys were out there in great numbers. I caught some nice bluegill in the river before I picked up the teacher. Not a bad day considering the conditions. Wish everyday could be at least this good, but I know that we will have a bad day sometimes.

Good report DK, you are the man.... Looking forward to next Tuesday and Wednesday..... I guess I am going to have to buy me a jar of spike-it in Charteuse color... you know you are my hero....
