Ok here is the deal, I need a new unit on the bow, the stock unit the boat is to be deliveried with is a X-52. I want a color unit on the bow. What is everyone's reccomendations. No GPS at this time maybe get one for the console later, as it has a 52 as well. Oh and I may be having a new X-52 for sale shortly, like tommorrow, as I pick the new ride up Teusday.

If you are not looking for GPS my favorite is the HUmminbirds. 585C has a single beam transducer and is a good color unit. I am getting a 747C for the bow on my new boat. The 747C has gps capability with an added receiver and has dual beam transducer. The dual beam is great if you plan to run it at the same time as the console unit. One unit can be set to 83khz and the other to 200khz. This keeps them from interfering with each other.
Both of these have great color and detail.
