Another interesting day....

I was sitting in the family room this morning, watching fishing and hunting shows and wishing I could be out there. I guess it was about 20 degrees, but the wind was calm and the sun was sparkling as it glimmered off of the spray of the water feature on my deck. It was just one of those near-perfect mornin.........................WATER FEATURE??????????? I don't have a water feature on my deck!!!!!!!!!!!! Aw poop!!!! I never thought to turn off the water to the quick-disconnect for the back garden hose and this early cold spell froze the fitting and broke it!!!!! Spray everywhere!!!!

I put on clothes (kinda wierd after 3 weeks in my jammies) and a heavy coat and gloves and went out to inspect the new water feature. Beautiful, but not what I had in mind and the ice would probably get awfully heavy, so I disassembled the lattice cage that encloses my heat pumps and water shut-off and crawled down in to shut off the water. How exactly do these things know when you'll be alone and there won't be any help?

When Mrs. EricM returned from church we both went out and admired the new ice sculpture covering much of the back of the house and most of the deck before she put her worn-out husband down for a two-hour, well-earned nap. Seems she had pity on me, 'cause I smell the apple crisp baking now...........

Lol.. I bet your glad to be back home! Dont eat too much of that apple crisp though or you'll be back in the hospital. emoBigsmile When are you gonna be able to fish again?

Good to hear from you Eric, I see you can still do a few things even if the doctor said to keep lifting to one pound. I don't guess crawling around under the porch helped your condition any but it shows you are doing better. Take care of yourself and don't eat too much apple crisp, love ya man.
