Another new to me boat for NRG couldnt pass up the bargain

Hey .. I found another boat TODAY .. wish I had found this one before November 07 , b4 I went to Knoxville to get my other one!
I paid $500 for a Tom Boy 15ft Bass Boat , stick steer, 1979 Johnson 35hp, 1999 30lb thrust foot control trolling motor, Garmin 160 LCR .. dirt cheap .. solid transom and floor as best I can tell and engine runs .. the guy who owned it died, the widow that had it was friends with my buddy Barry from work .. Barry and told me about it ( he dosent fish what is wrong with that man emoCrazy ).. I figured was just a rotted out old boat .. since he knows very little to nothing about boats . But to my delight it was a solid boat .. they ladies Son even gave me his dads net lol .. the wierd thing is the said that today Jan 24th is the day his her husband died last yr .. I wanted to give her a hug .. she told me to come back buy any time .. sweet old lady

Anyway here is the newest edition to the family ..

needs some tlc cleaning .. etc and a battery but nice catfish boat

Well the other boat needs floor replaced .. and some other stuff .. this boat is ready to go .. I was going to do the floor this winter .. but now can wait till spring to work on the other .. I may just take motors of this one and put on the other, and save this boat as a backup or sell this boat in spring after fixing the other boat and swapping tolling motor from old to this one .. or may just use them both .. the one I got today is narrower good small river boat .. may save it for smaller rivers like Caney, Sequatchie

Probably wont be tourny fishin in this boat lol .. way to slow .. but i have won some within a mile of ramp in the past lol

I took it out for a test run today .. it runs good as long as don't give it too much gas .. High Speed jet and or bowl has old gunked up gas in it.. I had another motor that did same thing from sitting too long .. and expected it .. but its a cheap and easy fix .. got oem rebuild kit for carb on ebay today for 10 bucks, and a new impeller for 10 impeller working put don't know how old that one is cheap and easy fix on it too .. so for 500 was still a good bargain.

Trolling motor and Garmin LCR both work great too, I love a bargain ... most all I don't owe anyone a monthly payment
