At the end of August Candi (cuonthelake) posted a request for prayers for my wife Judie and myself after I suffered a second major brain bleed and stroke in less than 10 months time. I thank you all for your prayers, visits, and support. It is so helpfull to know people out there are praying for and thinking of you in these times. THANK YOU!!
I had previously posted about the Greatest Blessing of my Life. Now if I may I would lke to share another experience with you that just shows Gods Amazing Grace and how he answers prayers.
My life had totally changed after God sent the Holy Spirit into my heart and I was reborn in Jesus Christ in Oct. 2012.. It has been the most wonderful 12 months, even greater than I could have imagined. Judie and I are so blessed and believe that God came into my life when he did because he knew that Judie and I would need the strength of Jesus to help us face this next challenge. We will be eternally gratefull for such a loving and caring God.
We are now also surround by our church family and have recieved uncountable help and support from them.
Now, I was lying in the ICU at Erlanger fighting to hang on against a terrible headache when my Neurosurgeon came in and said "You are looking a lot better than your CT scan. I expected to see you paralized. It is the worst bleed scan I have seen. Somehow, while I was grateful to God for sparing me that it wasn't a very uplifting conversation.
Judie was with me for all the time ICU allowed. A while later, or maybe even the next day, 2 young doctors came in and said "MAY WE PRAY WITH YOU"? I was quite surprised but said yes of course, thank you. What came next is almost beyound belief.
The one doctor said "WE HAVE SEEN THE MIRACLE AND NOW MUST PRAY THE PRAYER"
To me this seemed clear evidence that Gods hand had once again touched me through the Holy Spirit. They clearly had little hope for me after seeing the CT Scan. I am making no claims, just relating what happened. Clearly Judie and I are truly blessed and God's children. Again I thank everyone who prayed for us we love you all.
I am doing well in recovery and in outpatient therapy at Siskin Rehab again. Unless God acts again there will probably be more hemorrhages in the future. I have been diagnosed with "Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy" or brittle vessel desease. We embrace each day and try to live in the now and look forward to the future together. As Gator says, God is great and right on time. It seems that God still has work for me on this earth, I will continue to tell my story and the story of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We would appreciate your continued prayers.
Thank you, Judie and Norman Neel (Labman)
