My buddies, Eric Henry and Jason Chase, got about 4 dozen shiners and hit the water.. Right off the bat, I managed a 2 pound SM (no pic) and Eric nails a 4.5 SM

We fished from 10 till 5 and had a very good limit of Spots. 15 total. 27 caught.

Ran into NGR Bigfish and he was down on his luck. I guess the starter went out in his van and he could go fishing. Wish could have been able to help him out. He did however help me out and loaned us a net. Good thing too....

Thanks for the loan on the net NGR. I'll PM you and get it back to ya.

Now...Batteries are a pain in the butt if you have a switch that sits right under the key switch and likes to come on!!! I need to move that switch or I'll be floating down the river with very little Trolling battery and a cranking battery thats dead! Yes...about 4:30 we were down past the Bend and I put in at the Dupont Ball Fields. We managed to get the boat to a log that held us and flag down a pontoon coming up river. Thank God they were kind enough to help. I did think to ask if they were members but I did get his contact info. Thanks to David Gott and his Friend for the boost!

With what problems we had, we still had a great time!

Eric just seems to have that certain thing about him that catches good fish all the time. He got that 5.5 SM in the Heat tech tourny and the walls at home are filled with nice fish.

We basically threw on a few split shots above the hook by 12 inches or alittle better. All the fish were picked up right off the bottom of 12 to 17 feet. We threw up by the barges barge tie ups and let it hit bottom then walked it back to us with the current. Working it down or across ledges seems to work the best.

I think maybe 2 fish came off shallower water.
