I just got on here to see if anyone had posted any more stories or pictures of any successful hunts. It is hard to believe everyone has already stopped and gone back to fishing. I really like to read the stories some of you guys post and share of your duck and deer hunts. emoThumbsup If you need to have a picture posted send it to me and I will post it for you. emoToast Jmax

Here's a goodun for ya Jmax...My ole huntin bud,Larry Westbrookcame home from Carter Mtn this afternoon with a Bruiser Buck that he said he killed yesterday at high noon that was herding four does into a thicket. The big bucks at Franklin Co. on the Alabama line are just now starting to sniff and chase, even with all the warm weather. This buck had a very characteristic wide rack at 19in inside spread, had a heavy split brow tineon one side with three long daggers coming the left side with two points broken off.

No, not related to ELW except that where our Earl can stay on the troller from daylight till dark, my LDW can sit aloft30ft in a white oak tree for twelve hours ata time....butI'm the "grumpy old man" at the end of the day...if that makes me sound like Maloney then I'm damn proud of it! Good to have such a friend that will stick with you through thick and thin.

The broke daggers on this 4+1/2year old deer was probraly done by the same monster that he saw Sunday morning but couldn't get the scope on,might be the one that had this ones ass end all tore up...the plentiful acorn mass has the nannerheads and the "Bull of the Woods"" really fat and sassy this year...the sign is remarkable...cold weather on the way that will keep them upand moving...ITS PRIME TIME TO BE IN THE DEERWOODS!!!

After Two Wall hangers on day one (10pnt) and day two (8 pnt) it is time to get very picky or quit for the season... I am seeing deer but letting the smaller Trophy size Bucks walk. Still seeing them.. If I see the Buck in my video, I will end my season with a Nice limit.
