Any other BJ Upton fans out there?

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a sports analist or statistition. But, will someone please explain to me why Upton-with a 178 batting average, multiple ejections and less than impressive defense is getting such great praise from Joe Simpson and Skip Carey about his "show of promise"?
Much less-why is he not benched or released?
 
Not an Upton can myself. They need to cut them and make a position for Evan Gattis. That guys worth more than a DH or replacement for one of the blue chips that seem to stay on the disabled list!!!!
 
He is making way to much money for "show of promise"! His attitude is what gets my goat! He wants to cut the umpire a dirty look everytime they call a strike on him..
 
I am a fan of any that wear those Braves uniforms. They got the talent just got to get all them hitting on all cylinders together.
 
Roy, I am terribly disappointed in the "Best Outfield" in all of baseball as they were billed back in March. Justin hit some homers in April but then he went crazy and now that's all he tries to do. Look at his strike outs. BJ can't, and hasn't hit his weight all season and he needs way to much mustard to cover his poor hot dogg'in defensive efforts. He isn't the base stealer that was discribed either. J Hey has had some improvement after the appendectomy, but not enough. If those three were hitting .240 for the year, the Bravos would be leading the leagues! The Braves' bench and utility players have saved their butts. Gattis, Johnson, Schaffer, Laird and another that I can't remember his name right now. But what will make you sick is BJ's salary and contract!
 
I played at every level there is and pulling someone out of the line up is not the way to get him out of a slump. He needs at bats, now whether they are at the big level or down the ranks a bit he just needs to get at bats. Now as far his attitude about 60% of the players in the bigs need a reality check. I played with a lot of guys that loved the game and would love the opportunity to play at any level and would treat playing in the bigs as an honor, not as something owed to them just because god gave them so talent.
 
BJ Upton really needs to be traded or sent down to the minors until he figures out how to play baseball again..
Not to mention his piss poor attitude when he strikes out and we all know he does that a ton!!!
