i was wondering if anybody has been to any public land in east tennessee that they would think would have good turkey hunting

I use to hunt Sylco Mountain a bunch for Turkeys (South Cherokee back side of Parksville lake). When the bears got so thick a few years ago I went to the flat lands. Lots of areas to hunt them up there. Just be aware that bears are everywhere. (Hey I made a Rhyme)

CNF would be my pic. There is also great hunting found at Prentice Cooper, Catoosa, Center Hill Lake, Dale Hollow Lake, Oak Ridge, etc. Tons of public land turkey oportunities around here if your able to walk!

South Cherokee/ Ocoee . Might also check Bark Camp Barrens next to AEDC if it is open for spring turkey not far from Chattanooga. You may want to look at Chickamauga unit as well there may be some areas that are open.
