I think the offical name is Lake Dimmick but everyone knows it as Day lake in Sewanee on Monteagle Mountain... It has a ton of lily pads and I got hung up ever 2 or 3 casts... Any advice on what to use on or near such lily pad growth? Thanks.

I was up there a few weeks before I sold you that flat-bottom. Caught one little dink, but there are some good fish in there. The locals were telling me to throw "anything white", but depending on the conditions, I would try frogs and plastic worms around all of that vegitation. Buzzbaits and spinnerbaits along the edge.

Out in the middle there were some deep spots that might produce with a jig. I didn't have enough time to try it.

Another guy was telling me that he fishes it with minnows for crappie and does pretty good at it.

Good luck with it.
