Ive contacted several food product producers in the Chattanooga area looking for 25-30 gallon barrels with wide mouth lids for shad tanks.
I haven't heard back from any of them yet just emailed this evening, but I'm trying to find out how many people from the forum want these
before they answer back, so I can give them a quantity that I need / want. Reply to this email if you want one, so I can get a feel for how many I need when I do find a source for them. Or if you work some where that uses this size, I know of at least 3 people from here that is looking for one to use as shad tank.
So if you know of a source for the barrels .. post the info here too, or pm me

Thanks in Advance
Sean

count me in. I am putting a bait tank together this weekend I found a barrel but its 30 bucks so if I can find one cheaper or free that would be great!

I have all the thirty gallon plastic drums you all want, well about 30 anyway, they have two small bungs in the top.

The aforementioned drums are chemical drums that can be rinsed with either baking soda and/or vinegar to remove any chemical residue. If they are not suitable for your application then that is fine. I would be willing to load up as many as I can get in my truck and/or boat and meet somewhere and possibly even wet a line. I was just trying to give you all a resource for free drums.

That wont work for shad .. even though you wash them very well, the chemicals become imbedded into the plastic, and leech back out into the water , which equals dead shad, I have some that cleaning solution comes in .. they are perfect size but cant use them
