Anybody saltwater fish?

My Father-in-law is a big saltwater fisherman. He's tough to buy for, and he's got a birthday coming up. I know he loves Penn reels. He has a spinning rod and two baitcasters that he goes offshore with. He also has a penn spinning reel he uses when he comes up here to fish with me. Any help with another reel for him?

I love my Penn Captiva. costs about $40.00 I use it in freshwater and saltwater.

What fish does he fish for? I bought a Shimano Cabo spinning reel for big game last year on Ebay and it's really sweet but it just depends on what he's after. If he mostly fishes trout and redfish then regular bass tackle is fine. If he needs a reel for grouper, sailfish, tarpon, dolphin, you need to beef it up and if he's after the big boys, tuna, marlin, etc., then he'll need a different set up which will be really expensive. I don't know much about Penn reels other than the fly reels and they are great. I have two and bought them cheap off Ebay and are lifetime quality reels.
