I was really hoping the crackers would turn on big-time, but havnt seen many good reports. Anyone got a thought on the subject?</p>

i have been chasen crackers pretty hard for the last few weeks and have only managed to put 9 in the freezer, all of my spots are just not producing i dont know if i missed them or they just havent come in yet.

I spent 2 days last week looking for them and only caught 5 with only one being big
enough to keep and he got off at the boat, emoAngry After all that I sent him on his

Are they deep emoQuestion My ole fishing buddy from Arkansaw say I'm not fishin'
deep enough. He says to look for 'em about 15 feet after the spawn, emoScratch

I'm having the same trouble finding them as everyone else. I have quit fishing for them now and am back on the crappie. I don't know why they haven't shown up in numbers. Of all my old places, only one produced anything at all and it was only about 20% as good as usual. Perhaps they will be later, but I just don't know.

i think they did their thing a couple of weeks ago around the new moon we got on some really hot then and the females we caught had eggs running out of them we caught around 100 of them that day but since then it hasnt been to good we went yestarday 5/26 and had 15 nice keepers but all were males no females i think that good day we had was right near the end of them and the few we are catching now is whats left over to make a long story short i fished for crappie alittle too long and let the crackers slip by! thats my story and im sticking to it! emoToast

But I talked with Bob and they are finding the 'gills but not the 'crackers.
My wife & I are goin' out in the morning, probably up to Soddy, to give 'em a try.
I may look in some deeper water, maybe on the edges of the channels and see how
that works out. They gotta be somewhere, it's hard for 'em to breathe if they are out
on dry land!emoScratch
