Re: Anyone else going to see batman today/tonight?

This morning??? I didnt realize it was playing that early. I am planning on seeing it, but not the first weekend. I cant stand a packed theater anymore. Too many rude people on phones, talking to their friends, ect. I will wait till the crowds ease off some. I am really looking forwad to this one though. Make sure to give us a review!

sweet. i am looking forward to that one. i really love the new ones, back to evil and dark like batman should be. i may see it this weekend, but it'll be during the daytime to avoid the crowds.

theaters were sold out sunday, and we didnt' feel like going to a full showing later in the evening, so i'll see it this week one day after work. broke the spiderman 3 opening weekend record i see... i can't wait...

Outstanding!! The joker is way better than you could ask for!! You could see how the movie could have effected his life enough to give him problems. Lot's of twists, definitely not for kids though. I'll probably see it again, if my wife wants to see it.

Extremely good movie, but absolutely not for kids. It's very dark and doesn't leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling. You can't even begin to compare it to the other Batman movies of the 90's, they were goofy. This one definitely lives up to what everyone was saying about it and Fishnvol was right, Joker is insane and pretty dang brutal.

I had read about it being dark and our boys wanted to see Hellboy II anyway..... I told Mary yesterday on the way to the theater "there's just something not right about going to see a movie about Hellboy right after going to church." It was a well made movie. Kind of along the lines of Lord of the Rings type special effects thrown in with Bruce Willis action. It was predictable but everyone liked it. I may get out to see Batman.

Very nice movie. My only criticsm was Batman was waaaay to reactive and not proactive. Probably the best written Joker story I have ever seen or read and I have about 7000 comics so I have read just about all of them. For those comic geeks out there the movie was very much like Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison as it spends a lot of time dealing with the psychology of the characters. One of the smartest written films I have ever seen. Very smart twists that were not predictiable.

I thought it was fantastic. They did a great job developing the plot to were nothing was predictable. Heath Ledger went out with a bang... the Joker was UNREAL. I loved it, and plan on going to see it again this week. I agree Michael he was strangly reactive, and not proactive.
