Anyone know about transmissions???

Well something went real bad on my tranny today on my way to work. emoBang emoBang Anyone on here know of or are you good with transmission repairs. I need help!!! The guy I had it towed to quoted me $3200 to put a new transmisson in the truck. Thats what the dang trade in value is for the truck. PLEASE HELP!!!
