This is the last weekend in TN to go after a deer.emoBawl I went today and saw nine deer. I know that six had no horns or if they did they were very small ones. There were three that busted me before I saw them.emoDoh On those three I know they had very pretty white tails.emoBigsmile I can't complain after the nice one I got on Monday. Two does and one buck is not that poor. I could have taken a few more does but I mainly just take those to put some venison in the freezer. I think me and Churly are going to try it one more time in the morning and then I will be putting it all away until next year. :( Time to go fishing again and those crappie have really been calling my name.emoDance Jmax

I (we) are heading out tomorrow morning as well for one last go around then its time for hand surgery then fishing season! Good luck and be safe tomorrow..........

have went 2 times this week and nothing but did see two 4 pointers fighting today in a field about 100yds from the house but cant hunt it just my luck but was neat to watch them fight for about 20 min or so

Well Churly and I went out this morning and I took him to where I killed that good one on Monday. Between the two of us we saw 15 deer and a turkey.:) No shooters in the bunch but it does make me feel good about next year. I am done for the year but Churly got excited enough that he is going back this evening and maybe in the morning.emoSmile It would be nice to see ol Churly bring a good one down with this evening and tomorrow being the last of it. Time to go fishing again.emoAngler Jmax

We got out this morning about the crack of dawn and the woods were dead until around 8:45 then a buck shows himself. Outside the ears, fairly tall rack but not many points. It was either a 4 or 6 pt (if he had brow tines) watched in the scope for 5 to 10 minutes with him looking directly at me, not even a twitch of an ear. It befumbles me how they can be so still for so long. He finally turned his head, came across the trail and into the cedar thicket I believe. I had the cross hairs on him for quiet a while but he just wasn't what I was looking for and since bullet already had a 10pt, we decided if he gets through one more day, he'll be a dandy next year. Before leaving we left them a pretty good smorgasboard throughout the property to assist with gaining back some fat and for the does when they are carrying their young. Hopefully this will help them get on through the winter.

Thats great that you got her out with you! Get a gun in her hands, and she might get hooked, and she will be dragging you with her!

Well gang it is over for yet another year.:( But there is hope,....only 271 days, 18 hours, 12 minutes and 45 seconds until it starts all over again.emoBigsmile

I would like to thank this forum and its members for the advice and help in hunting TN this year. It was my first year to hunt this state and as an Arkansas boy to all you TN Boys and Gals you all have a great deer resource that I truely enjoyed being involved in this year. The Lord truely has blessed us all in the outdoors that we have in both AR and TN. emoThumbsup emoAngel Jmax
