I was wondering this morning what everyone's take on what effect if any all this rain will have on the bass this weekend? With some areas having almost 3 inches last night the water should jump up and we should see some serious flow. I have been told a warm water heavy rain will help the bite where as a cold water heavy rain will hurt it. emoScratch With us hitting 76 yesterday and setting a new warm weather record in Feb. for this area I would say that is a warm rain. emoSmile Fish may scatter and anyone on a stacked bite may find their school dispersed. However if the water comes up and the shad, bream and bass go shallow we could see some really good three bass limits. Anyone want to predict what it will take to win? emoConfused Either way me and James will be out there this weekend just chill'in and enjoying some fellowship and fishing. emoGeezer Jmax

My guess will be DD22 and poolman with 18.03 pounds. emoAngel Jmax

TVA flow schedules looks like we will have plenty of current. Volume picks up the rest of the week. For the win, Earl and Nathan, 20#.

Pulling a spinner bait with a lot of thump or a big, red Trap in some of that warmer inflow could get you some nice surprises. Good luck!!

By the time the tournament gets here , the warmer water will be cooled off some . Getting back to more seasonal night time temps. Water was 50 yesterday . It will drop in temps some . If the water is still high , they will more than likely be pretty darn shallow .

Changing conditions caused by the cold front overrules everything else. Changing conditions cause fish to drop back deeper to offset the ill effects. look for a slow bite.
