Alot of truth to that. Nice article Richard.

That reminds of a time several years ago when my buddy and I won a dogfight on the Chick out of his old boat. We didn't join the "race" at the horn but simply dropped the trolling motor and started fishing.

That is good food for thought right there. I like it.

I don't know which one I am really, it depends on the day I guess. In the world of catfishing one might a horetis. One zips around the lake, anchors in a spot for 30 min, and keeps all the secretes to himself. LOLemoBigsmile

Good article Richard, I too am a tortise, sometimes I probably use at least a quart of gas on some of my excursions, sometimes a little more acording to how far I go from the boat ramp. I believe the tortise will win out every time.

great article, i fit the hare persona, 20 minutes of no bite i am moving on, several years ago i had a 12 ft john boat and a trolling motor, no gas motor at all, no fish finder, i knew i had to stay close to the ramp so i fished that area thoroughly and i caught many more fish back then than now. maybe somthing to re examine

Tortoise, but I'm working on it.

I don't catch a LOT of fish, but it doesn't cost me $100 to go fishing, either!

Last Mem. Day weekend I caught 51 bass in 2 days on a t-rig in Dean Hollow slough. I was having engine trouble, so I didn't even crank it to put it on the trailer! My TM will leave a wake behind the boat, so I can scoot to spots within the same general area fairly quickly.

My first year back on the water I was happy throwing a worm at the same stump all day. I'm now trying to make myself into more of a "slow hare" in an effort to cover more water, but I still find myself averaging an hour or so in an area before cranking the gas-guzzler.
