Alabama Polytechnical Institute got rid of Tuberville for Chizik? At least make an attempt at Petrino for God's sake. Auburn will be wandering in the wilderness for years to come. Makes Tennessee's hiring of Kiffen look like a stroke of genius.

well i wish we could have hired petrino... but there was absolutely no possible way that they could hire petrino. it is actually stipulated in petrinos contract that he may NOT leave for another coaching job in the west league in the SEC. i cant believe they hired chizik... they give the guy the job that went 5-18 i think over a two year period. are you kiddin me? bring back tuberville... i tell you what... theres a freakin circus goin on down there at auburn... highly disapointing..

I knew there was no possible way Petrino was leaving Arkansas for Auburn but they could've tried for appearances sake. And if there is a circus going on down on the Lovliest Village on the Plain, Lowder is the ringmaster. I'm no Auburn fan but I'm disappointed for those that are.

The guy from Buffalo is pretty popular right now and would be a great coach to hire. Turner Gill I believe his name is.

If you can turn Buffalo around, you can probably do a better job than the Chizik guy they hired in.

Ya I heard Barkley hoot and holler. At first, I thought he may have a point- because honestly if you do compare the two resumes, then Chizik shouldn't have even been considered. Word is that the boosters on the inside favored Chizik for whatever reason. Is it race? I dont know, and dont care- I for one just want the best coach in there possible for Auburn to be competitive. I still wish Tubs was still there, but that's over with now... So I'll back Chizik... until he goes 5-19 with Auburn- then I'll jump ship lol. War Eagle
