Wrechin2 got the Merc goin Fri. & Brent went over to pick it up. Got out yesterday to start break-in. Wow! James, you said this thing would be a low-end horse, but man, never expected this. It shot that big Triton on plane in less than 2 boat lengths! Ran it for over an hr. from idle to 2.5-3K RPM. Never had a motor that is this responsive. Can't wait to get break-in finished & get this thing dialed in. Have a feeling this boat's gonna run like it never has before! Folks, if you need a re-build or want some performance mods on your engine, do yourself a favor & call James. He knows his stuff, will shoot straight with you, & takes pride in his work like nobody I've seen. James, you ARE the Man!!

I think ya going to need a bigger prop!!! It is STOUT for sure. It will carry it alot better than the 240 sportjet powerhead did. Who said carbs aren't responsive???? LOL!! With the porting it should be able to pull a 25 trophy to 7K. It is a 225 Promax copied block with ALOT of mods. The compression and shaving fo the front half gives it that bottom end grunt and the porting and exhaust will make it run on the other end plus the compression and front half shave will compliment it on top end. Will post sme pics later.
