hey everyone i stopped by a pond we locals like to call the "backwaters" its a little lake that is fed by hiwassi ( iknow its spelled wrong LOL ) i was testing my fathers old baitcaster to make sure its ok cause its not been used since he has been paralyzed from the waist down ( multiple sclarosis in 1990 ) after 15 years or sitting it still works great . first cast i was using a black and chart. chatter bait with a yellow trailer . i let it hit and sink to teh bottom assoon as i start my retrieve a 2 lb large hits. i love those lure's . that was the only fish the rest of the short while i was there iwas experimenting with other things . the backwaters is a nice place . no boats can make it in ots of structure and at the most 4 feet of water

me and my father are going out tomorrow or sunday on the boat . it will be the first time he has gone fishing in about 15 years . i hope hte fish are hitting to so he has a good fathers day present

no the place i am speaking of of way up river past B&B marina . if you put in at hte charleston boat dock and start down river its just past the train brigde on your left . but a boat can get in there so thats why i like to fish from the bank there
