Have to share this with the CFF gang. 10lbs ground deer meat, 10 pounds of Boston butt, 4 pounds of bacon. Grind it all up, makes the bests burgers or meat loaf you will ever have from deer. Great smokey bacon flavor. I tried this from a buudy who suggested it, and my last deer from this year 20lbs of ground went for this recipe. ITs the deal.

When I was processing deer I did similar things like that for my customers. It worked well.
If you want some great deer sausage try this; grind 60% venison with 40% hickory smoked bacon. Season with Legg's Old Plantation sausage seasoning. Mix the seasoning according to package directions before you grind.

No doubt Spur, no doubt. Bad thing about 100% lean ground venison is that it is extremely dry. I reserve the back straps and steaks for the "healthier" eating.
 
Bacon burger is hard to beat. Of course when I got a big fat cheese burger I ain't worried about being healthy. Only worried about taste!!!
