Weiss was tough today. Fished with a great guy by the name of Chris McReynolds from the Knoxville area. We started our day upriver looking for bedding bass. Chris was able to take one from a bed and another off a buzz frog. After working on a fish for over 30 minutes, he finally got it to bite only to break off on the hookset. That's frustration guys. I caught my one and only keeper on a Carolina rig. Alot of zeros on both sides today with very few full bags weighed in of which only 7 weighed were on the Co-Angler side. When a qualifier for this year's All American zeros, you know the fish weren't biting. My finish dropped me from 30th to 41st. Still in good shape for qualifying for the Regional. Water temps ranged from 63 degrees in the main lake area to 65 degrees in the slews. Weiss is only a foot or so from Summer pool. Water clarity ranged from 1-2 feet off the river to 3-4 feet in the main lake. Lake Wheeler is up next on May 12th.
