Since they may work some of the time cant hurt to have some. Thanks guys. Im struggling to learn how to fish here. Its alot different then fishing the big lakes in Minnesota. Ive been catching some 1 to 2 lb largemouths on chickamauga in about 18 ft of water, but only a few. Ive been using watermelon lizards and they seem to work pretty well. What's the key to finding some big largemouths, is it depth, do bass tend to go deep in the summer months or do they go shallow. Ive heard structure is key as well, so ive been trying some of the sloughs around HBSP but havent got a thing. Also the guy at sportsmans warehouse said that vertical jigging works too, havent tried that yet. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, thanks fellas

Wait a minute!! Go to your tackle store and get some super flukes... They swim EXACTLY like the banjo minnows. Just hook the super fluke like you'd hook a worm on a 3/0 - 4/0 worm hook. I think getting a banjo minnow is a waste of cash and time. Because it takes a week or so til it comes to your door. Just go to a tackle shop or Walmart and get some superflukes today instead of waiting 2 weeks for the same thing to come to your door!

Try watermelon seed worms on a carolina rig, they work great for me in summer time. Fish the deeper humps near shore and docks and you'll get a big 'n on! Good luck

Oh forgot to mention, the presentation I use that seems to be key is dragging it along the humps and brush, then as it falls back to the bottom is when I usually get a strike. Plan on getting some snags tho.
