That was solid advice he just gave you, pond or not. Trial and error. Different retrieves.... twitch it every once in a while. And we ain't skeered!

I really like the shakey head right now if you dont mind catching spots, in a lil while when it warms up i like a carolina rigged lizard.What kind of cover are you fishing on shore.I tend to fish alot of riprap (rocks) so deap diving cranks tend to hang too easy.Just depends on location really.
