Hey all I went out Tuesday night Soddy Creek and Nuke Plant area .. caught about 8 total bass nothing big .. all between 11 and 16 inches, cauht most one spinner bait and couple on crank, I saw a buch of fish on points deep 22-30 feet .. just couldnt get them to bite not sure what they where, saw alot of suspened fish over the points marked shad and fish in 30 feet at about 18 -20 .. then on the way back to soddy creek ramp ran out of gas.. so I just played as I trolled back to ramp .. marked some big fish in 20 -25 feet but no takers.. I swear Im gonna get me some big shiners and drop em down there to see what these fish I keep seeing are .. cats bass drum or what ? Also saw big shad eating what looked like thick clouds of newly hatched shad .. they where tiny .. I thought maybe some bass would be there too .. but nope just shad.
Fished today 2-3:30 between service calls on Richland Creek in Dayton from shore .. caught 4 bass 14-16 inches on white spinnerbait in the grass... everyone of the fish where hiding under the lil mats of grass.. One fish was within 1 foot of the bank. I did have one good fish swirl at at .. I saw the fish run back uner the mat it was guesstimate 3or 4 lbs.. I tried to intice another strike but he just stuck his tounge out at me.
