Bass/crappie Watts Bar 3/16

Went to the bar again and caught a few, same story as yesterday. Spinnerbaits white/ gold willow, and a bandit crank. They were on isolated trees and rocks in both creeks we fished. First pic was on Buck Creek where we caught some keeper crappie and bass. Caught the first crappie on a spinner bait. Riley creek is the second pic.

It is a red orange firetiger bandit 200, I also caught some on the same pattern 300

You ever caught any sauger in Buck? We have caught some trolling for Stripe.

no I have not, but a friend of mine caught a 7 lb 4 oz saugeye in riley creek on thanksgiving day 2000. It was raining and fifty degrees out and we caught a bunch of bass that day.

Thats a huge Saugeye... was that pushing state record status, or is the Saugeye record around 11 lbs?

Nothing tastes better...

It is 10 something for the state record, but it was a big fish none the less. We have some pics of it somewhere that
I will try to dig up.
