Bass fished the chick, 5/25/06

After I did a little work this afternoon I got the fishing bug and decided to go out and try a little bass'n on the chick. Got out at 4 this afternoon and fished until 7 this evening. Had a couple guys hauling in on me right around seven, I assumed they were in the dogfight. I didn't do all that bad considering only being out three hours. I boated fourteen bass with three keepers, two just over sixteen inches and one fifteen and a half. The three would have weighed about 7.5 lbs. togather. Started off fishing a seven inch zoom worm red flake pumpkin seed in about four foot on a rock hump. Caught three on it with one of my keepers. Than went to a wind blown point with rock and about five feet, caught two there, one on a lucky craft rattle lipless crank and one on a spook. Than worked a bank with flooded grass and docks and caught six along that bank off dock and wood, all on a sinko with a light wieght in it. Finally moved out into open water but still stayed shallow and went back to the worm. Caught three more on it and two of those were the other two keepers. May sound strange but I am sure one of those keepers were a female that was getting ready to spawn and I had another on a sinko just shy of fifteen the same way. I stayed shallow today and the deepest I fished was only around five to six feet. Lots of fun for such a short time. I am heading for the nick in the morning with Rmax. I saw several fish this evening that were weighed in that bellies that looked like females who havent spawned. Good post Jmax. You would have finished in the Money this evening.
