Bass fishing on the Chick. 3-11

My dad let me take out his boat by myself this morning,so I launched out of Booker T. around 9:30 or so. Headed straight across the lake to a slew I used to fish when I was a kid. Picked up a 15" bass on a red xps (bass pro shops) rattle trap. Next stop Privater marina. Picked up 2 8" largemouth and 1 12" spot. Again on the same lure. Next stop Gold Point marina. Picked up 3 keeper largemouth,between 15 and 17 inches. Same lure. My final stop was the slew behind Booker T.. Couldn't find any bass, so I picked up my crappie rod with a chartuese/orange/black crappie tube tied on. KInd of let the wind push me around for about 20 minutes or so and picked up 7 yellow bass and 1 yellow perch. Fished up around 2:30. Water temp ranged from 53 to 55 degrees. All bass were caught in 2 to 3 foot of water in the back of the slews/marinas. Sorry no pictures today. Nothing worth taking a picture of. I was glad to get out and enjoy the sun!emoSun
