Didn't have to work tonight, so I decided to go fishing after lunch today. Put in at B.B. COmer. There was 3 boats loading up when I got there. They said, big rollers out on the main lake, becareful. I could see the main river was rough by looking at the back water more than whitecapping...
SO, I take out anyway. I get to the main river from the back water and decide to try it...BAD DECISION!!!!!! 3-4ft rollers, worst I have ever seen that part of the river. I got about halfway across the river and decided that I was headed back the other way real quick and in a hurry. Going with the rollers wasn't half as bad as trying to hit them headon.emoLaugh
As far as the fishing went, missed 3 fish, had one spit the lure out right at the boat. Two more came unbuttoned after that, I caught 3 short fish in 3 ft of water. When I first started fishing the spot, I was listening to the ballgame and just chunking and winding...when I felt a hit.
I knew right off that it wasn't a bass, but I knew it was big...

I've caught 'cats off a spinnerbait before, but never a 'trap...and in less than 4 ft of water also.
