Bass Fishing the Nick

I have been fishing the NIck for several years. I have the most luck in the summer months fishing the grass edges, but I need some good April & May spots to try. I am not TX fisherman but I am on the lake quite a bit until deer season opens. I have been fishing some in Mullins Cove and Bennett's Lake mainly with rattletraps and crankbaits. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've just started fishing the Nick, so I'm less of an expert than youemoBigsmile . Bennett and Mullins are good spots, of course, and I've had some luck on the banks in the shallower coves around Shellmound. Of course the flats next to deep water are good at times, too.

Just keep moving and changing lures & depths until you find the right combination...the standard answer...if you find them let me know!emoBigsmile

You most defiantly may want to do the tag team thing, especially if you are going into Bennett's!! Rumor has it the Nickajack Mafia is out in full forceemoPoke emoCool

I am glad you have heard of them.......they will let you know if you are worthy of fishing The Nick and Bennett's.............emoLaugh Don't cross these fishhhhhhhhaholics they will emoEnforce anyone who tressspasses on their grounds!!!!
I'm joking basschatter!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know these guys or I don't think I know them but they are members of CFF and are good folks!!!!! As soon as they get wind of this thread, they will chim in!!!
But there is a Nickajack MAFIA!!!!! wormhook , xxxxxxmaster and ??????others!!!
