Our goal is to recruit 20 new members for the 2018 Tournament Season.

This is a Bradley County based Bass Nation Club and we are soliciting Bradley, Meigs, Polk and McMinn County anglers. If you are already a member of another area club, please stay with your club. We are not trying to cannibalize existing clubs. We are recruiting anglers that have no current affiliation with other federated Bass Clubs. (Bass Nation, TBF, etc). We are looking for anglers that love to fish, want to test their skills against other anglers and don't mind sharing some tips along the way. We are not pro anglers, we are just a group of guys that like to fish.

We will hold a Chickamauga, member/guest tournament in the fall of 2018 to recruit for the 2019 season. This club will be run by it's members. 1 angler, 1 vote. We will not dictate an agenda. LET ME ADD THIS. WE will accept non boaters and pair them with boaters. Every effort will be made to get all of our members out on the water each tournament.

Do you draw partner's or can you fish with your same buddy every tournament.

We plan a mix of both types. Some draw, some buddy tournaments. We realize we can't make everybody happy 100% of the time but we can shoot for a minimum of 50% of the time. Hopefully a healthy blend of the two tournament formats will keep everyone interested.

Sorry about the delay on answering the PM;s and emails. I got busy at work and just got online. I will answer everyone in the next few minutes.

We have had a few good questions over the past few days. Here are the questions and answers so far.

Q: I don't have a boat but want to fish as a co-angler. Will there be enough boats to guarantee I get to fish.

A: We can not give a definitive answer until we see how our membership drive goes. Our goal is to recruit 20 new members. Our current membership consists of 7 boat owners and 5 non boaters. (Based solely on the membership inquiries we have had so far the boater to non boater ratio looks to be about 3 to 1.) If this holds true then yes, we can guarantee you will have a back seat to fish.

Q: Do the Three Rivers Bass Club tournaments give us a chance to fish the Bass Master Level Tournaments?

A: The short answer is Yes. When you fish our local tournaments you are fishing for the opportunity to represent Three Rivers Bass Club in the Tennessee Bass Nation Team Trail Regional Qualifying Tournaments as well as the Tennessee Bass Nation- Angler/Co-Angler State Draw Tournaments. The top performers in the state level Bass Nation tournaments advance to the regional and championship rounds. These tournaments have the BASS Elite level connections.

Q: Will be fishing on Chickamauga only?

A: The plan is to stay local for the majority of our tournaments and possibly travel to nearby lakes if the membership votes to fish another lake. Possible lakes are Watts bar, Guntersville, Douglas, Norris.

Q: Where did the name Three Rivers Bass Club come from?

A: The Ocoee runs into the Hiwassee which runs into the Tennessee. We had planned to fish some at Parksville and the rest on Chickamauga. As a club we haven't made it to Parksville yet. We are a Bradley County based club so the influence of the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers has always been strong in our group.

Q: Will the Chickamauga Tournaments be held at Chester Frost or Harrison Bay.

A: No. We will be keeping our tournaments on the upper end of the lake. Either at Dayton, Grasshopper or possibly the Hiwassee ramps. Chattanooga has a lot of clubs on the lower end. Anyone wanting to fish the lower lake should contact those clubs.

Q: Do you ever have combined tournaments with other Tennessee Bass Nation chapters?

A: Yes, we have plans to have joint Chickamauga Tournament in the fall of 2018 with the Bass nation Club from Dandridge Tennessee. We took a team up to fish a Douglas lake tournament of theirs this past April.

Q: What kind of door prizes will be given out at the meeting in September?

A: I asked Caleb at Hiwassee Angler to pick some top selling merchandise from his shelves. He suggested a top end Rod and Reel, some of the hot selling lures for September.

Q: Do you have to buy a membership to get in the free membership drawing.

A: Yes, we will be giving away 1 free membership for each 5 paid memberships. You have to be a paid member to get in the drawing for the free membership.

Q: Will the tournaments be draw or fish with the same partner all year.

A: We are proposing an eight tournament Club Calendar for 2018. Four of these tournaments will be draw (Angler/Co-Angler) the remaining four will be Team Tournaments. A member/guest tournament in fall of 2018 will a team tournament.

Q: What is the limit on fish?

A: Early season (Cool weather) 5 fish, late season (HOT TIMES) 3 fish. We may vote on the hot season limits just to be fair.

A big thanks to everyone that braved the Hurricane Irma remnants and came to the meeting last night. Lots of door prizes were given away and lots of new members signed up.

Caleb Luzader let us use his Hiwassee Angler shop for the meeting and we appreciate it.
