Well, I hope I didn't jinx myself for the dogfight tonight. I hit Chick yesterday at around 3:30, I thought the storms had passed........wrong. Anyway, I proceeded to have the best day of fishing I've had in years. First fish of the day was a nice 4.5-5 lber. She absolutely crushed a #$%$@ in about #$%$ of water. The pic looks crummy though and doesn't do her justice. I caught several more before being blown off the lake at around 4:35. Just after 5 I was back at the same place and picked up right where I left off. Several slicks but more keepers than not. I lost count which is a good thing. I caught more fish yesterday than my last 10 trips combined. Luckily, I had a ton of strikes that missed, lucky because of the dogfight tonight. I'll post better details after CFF5, but man, I love the lure I was using. It's the first time I've ever used it because it looks and has an action just like several others I have and they might have done as well, but this is what I was throwing and it was literally getting destroyed. I just ordered a couple more this morning.

I tried the corndog route but I was right, the stick gets in the way. I was going to use Viennas but got hungry and ate them myself. Drat.

I also met someone when launching that is not a member but has been on here before. I told him that we have a bunch of fun tourneys that aren't real cut throat and everyone shares after it's over. He said he'd check out the calendar so maybe we'll have someone else for CFF 5.

She's a bute! I hope this front doesn't mess your bite up. That girl would get you in the money. We will be fishing tonight, but probably donating. We have not got on a good pattern since the water came up. Good luck and I will see you this evening!

Good fish Davo. Yes, be careful about going fishing on an empty stomach especially when you are using corn dogs or viennas. It's one thing to lose your last crankbait or lure, but when you eat your last lure, well......no more needs to be said.
