Well I sat around at the house with the wife for as long as I could before I popped the question. Around 11:30 we were still just hanging around and watching the tube so I asked the wife if we were going to do anything and she said no. I as humble as I could asked if she would mind me going fishing and she said as long as I was back before dark she didn't.emoTongue I called CherokeeRidge and he was free also. Got on the water at 12 and fished until 4:30. We ended up boating one spot, one crappie, three whites and 8 LM. Got the spot, crappie and whites on a silver buddy. Got the LM on a couple baits, one on a hair jig and pig, one on a C-rig with a green sinko, and the rest on rattle traps. Most of the LM came from 5 to 6 feet so they were a lot more shallow then I thought they would be. This warmer weather has got them moving up. Great job guys! Were there any size to the fish?
Not really all that big, had three that would have kept and the biggest was about 2.5 to 3 lbs. All of them were nice LM, the smallest was about 13.5 inches. They are really footballs right now and all seemed to be full of shad and starting to develope eggs I am assuming. All were released to fight another day.emoThumbsup Jmax

Glad you got out Jmax. I started to call you this morn. I looked at the weather & saw that the weather was not going to be very good for the next couple of days & I needed a fix to lastemoTongue Good to hear you guy caught fish. I new that CherokeeRidge has been dying to go & I can relate seeing how my boat is in the shop too. How many dishes do you have to wash tommrow?emoLaugh Did the Hair jig do any good for ya?

Good job Jmax! Glad you got out and got a few.
The first LM was on your hair jig. I had a hit on it that got the pig you had given me so I replaced it with a green/clitter zoom chunk and it worked as well. Those were the only two bites on it that I know of. I went to Fish and Fin in Cleveland and got a couple more.emoThumbsup Jmax
