Fishing Fire and I decided to try the bite close to the Nuke plant and got on the water about 1030. Right off the bat he caught a nice little football of a bass on a BB. Water temp was 58, with no wind but TVA was really pulling the water and the current was running on the upper end. We didn't see any schooling fish at all as we were thinking we would. It was "Merry-go-Wake-Maker" day! Must have been 30 big yachts going up and down the river, I assume looking at the fall colors. We ended up with 4 small spots (yes I kept them MB) , a decent smallmouth, TONS of bream (don't know what had them turned on), 7 largemouth of which 2 were keepers, and one small MEANMOUTH. That is the second meanmouth in that area for me in the last couple of months. They sure are pretty fish and really fight hard. We caught most of the fish on small Manns SB in white and chart. We were actually in the same place as DRC when we finally decided to come home. We were doing some vertical jigging on the metal walls by the nuke plant with silver buddies. No luck on them. Wonderful day on the water!
