Bass Upper Chick 9/22 HOT topwater

Hey guys,
Fishing Fire and I got on the lake around 6 this afternoon. Very light winds and overcast with water temps around 78. I figured that the bass might be in a top water pattern with the cooler weather and the overcast. I was right. We managed 16 Bass, 2 of which were keepers and a ton of bream that thought they were bass!!! I managed to get a pic of my keeper but Fishing Fire tossed his over before I remember I had my camera. My fish came in at a modest 1.14 and Fishing Fire's was a little bigger at 2.2. We caught all the fish on Torpedos in firetiger and shad. The bite was HOT!!! We missed so many fish because I got so nervous and excited!!!emoLaugh Fall is here for sure guys!!! They may move out a little deeper when this front goes by but we found them shallow tonight. Average depth was about 3 to 5 feet. I'm gonna try and post pics. Hope this works.

Bass hunter it was WONDERFUL out there tonight. The only complaint I have is it got dark so soon with all the clouds and fog. Too bad I wasn't in NRG's hole. Sounds like he had all the big bass cornered that everyone else on the forum has been looking for! Dang what a fisherman!

I think they are gradually getting into fall patterns. We notice a lot of fish in extremely shallow water on this trip. Lots of bait fish out, although the fish we caught weren't really schooling.

I know.....i was so aggravated at Fishing Fire operating the camera. He had it in 5 different modes with fish hit top all around us. One of them sounded like a hog falling off a bridge and it was taking him FOREVER to take the pic. I'll grin next time while I am cussing him!!!,,,,emoAngel

LOL.....yeah I thought about that Jmax. Those bass look pretty small up against a 54" chest! But hey, we had fun!

Terry it is hard to tell whether you are scared or mad in your pic. Good report though.
