It has been a while for me to report, but fishin' has been fun but slow for the past few weeks.

It has been experimental for me to get out, but I have tried to fish often.

I think it makes a difference in diversification, or at least it makes you get out of your comfort zone.

Docks are easy now, but I have best luck on the deep water versions. And deep drops and deltas have held the best sizes

Lately, I have been upsizing to minnow minders in colors that I normally wouldn't try, and I have been surprised at what I've caught.

So, as my crappie mentor once said over and over emoGeezer , Don't fall in love with just one color or size.

Today was my slowest day as I only begged 13 crappie to hit.

Deep

Slow

Painfully s-l-o-w

I will try tomorrow with fast, if slow doesn't work, and keep having fun to see what weird color will be working then emoAngler emoLaugh

C'mon striper bite!! emoTongue

Yes, I said 'don't fall in love with a favorite lure. It will break your heart just like your first girlfriend did. emoBigsmile It has been painfully slow for me too, lately. I'm blaming it on drawdown and cold fronts. I'm beginning to run out of excuses. But, with stable water levels, the bite should pick up. emoGeezer

We caught as many talking as when we were emoAngler

Maybe others did well, but it was slow for us
Thanks for the visit DF, I hadn't seen you for over a year emoThanks
