A few days for catch up

I was using BG full moon as a go-to color in bs and ss

I have tried to switch my jigs to all #2's on the hook side and I think it helps esp for the bigger fish.

I had a real good day with 17 keepers and one tarp

I fished vertical structure and deep rock piles and some planted brush piles, mainly because of the fog.

Total fish was 41 with a good many boat paddles and greenheads or TGF.

The next day was fun with my partner on the Nick (I didn't want to go)

I had found a few places to fish, but he wanted to fish early and then watch cars turn left and go fast on tv. (I like to call that my NASCAR Nap emoSleepy )

We had 20 big fish and not but about 6 tb's

Partner also caught a nice spot near 2 lbs

Fun!!

Dickey and I made the next trip and it was reported well by him on another thread

This week, I went to new places and ran out of my fav color so I had switched to what I learned on...crystal

With or without a tail light this one was working well in both lakes.

My thing was to fish shallow early and then if the bite dropped off, go down another count each time to find the new depth.

When I moved to other areas the depth stayed constant as the place I was at before.

Fun times..until yesterday emoHoppingmad

I was getting out at the ramp and had driven the trailer into the water and was about to drive on when I noticed my bunks were not right.

The left bunk was hanging loose with only the front lag (of three) was the only bolt present. Somehow, somewhere the other 2 had fallen out.

I called Hippy to see if he could help after calling, Glen, Island Cove, Towboat and my wife to let her know I would be late.

He came over and luckily I had my wrench kit with me. He helped me by us taking the center bolt out of the good side and anchoring the other bunk at the rear.

4 bolts and a prayer and we got it on the trailer.

We will install the new bolts today after going fishing

Had three tarps and hoping for more

So there

Still having fun fishing emoThumbsup

Follow-up:
Hippy went fishing with me in that windy day after and when we got back he more than helped me with the bunk fix, by getting down with the trailer!
Thanks Dave for your help!

That's a good reminder-I need to get under my trailer and check mine.

NASCAR nap! That's why I'm an NHRA fan-no time for naps! You close your eyes for 4 seconds and you miss it.
